1st place in the Safe Hospital 2013 St. Raphael Hospital in Kraków became the finalist of the Polish national ranking organized by Rzeczpospolita and the Centre for Quality Supervising of the Ministry of Health entitled "Safe Hospital" 2013, and landed on 1st spot of public and private hospitals in the Małopolska region. Furthermore, our hospital was in the first 10 of hospitals in terms of patients' care and quality of services (8th place in the ranking).

Safe Hospital 2009 Certificate the finalist of the Safe Hospital 2009 Polish Ranking in the private hospitals' category — non-public medical centre Scanmed Strefa Medyczna Universum (ranking organized by Rzeczpospolita and the Centre for Quality Supervising of the Ministry of Health)

Safe Hospital 2012 Certificate St. Raphael Hospital in Kraków was awarded the 8th place in Polish Ranking in the private hospitals' category

"Pearls in Medicine" 2009 — a national competition held under the patronage: Naczelna Izba Lekarska, Polskie Towarzystwo Lekarskie, Polskie Towarzystwo Farmaceutyczne, Polskie Stowarzyszenie Dyrektorów Szpitali, STOMOZ, Związek Pracodawców Warszawy i Mazowsza.

  • The prize was established to recognize the most thriving medical centres and high quality healthcare.
  • The evaluation involved such fields as: implementing quality systems, employment structure, employees' training courses, investment encouraging competitiveness, development and innovations, conforming to ethical principles, patients' and customers' opinions.

"Hospital Without Pain" Certificate 2013St. Raphael Hospital in Kraków was once again awarded the "Hospital Without Pain Certificate". The award is given by the Polish Association for the Study of Pain, and is an objective confirmation that St. Raphael Hospital in Kraków use best efforts to enhance the comfort and state of patients under treatment, efficiently relief post-operational pain.

"Hospital Without Pain" Certificate 2010 Polish Association for the Study of Pain and Polish Association of Anaesthesiology and Intensive Therapy, Polish Surgeon Society, Polish Gynaecological Association, and Polish Orthopaedic and Traumatology Association initiated the "Hospital Without Pain" programme certifying Polish hospitals which fulfilled certain criteria, and elevate quality of post-operational pain relief.

"Toddler-Friendly Place" Certificate 2009 — the 4th edition of the "Toddler-Friendly Kraków"

Accreditation Certificate 2011 of the Ministry of Health — accreditation is an external evaluation process of healthcare facilities based on public and systematized standards aimed at activities enhancing the quality and safety of patient care.

  • Hospital accreditation in Poland is done by the Centre for Quality Supervising of the Ministry of Health. By virtue of the act on healthcare of 6th November 2008, the accreditation is given by the Ministry of Health.
